Am
Freitag, den 26.9. wurde in Potsdam seit langem mal wieder ein Haus
besetzt!
Seit über 24 Stunden ist die ehemalige Villa Wildwuchs nun wieder mit
Leben und Kultur gefüllt. Das Haus diente bisher als Jugendtreffpunkt und
wurde von Streetworkern betreut. Anfang des Jahres sind diese mit ihrem Büro
an einen neuen Standort umgezogen. Laut Informationen soll das Gebäude
abgerissen und das Grundstück der Stiftung Preussische Schlösser und Gärten
übergeben werden, da es sich in direkter Nähe zum Park Babelsberg
befindet. Gegen die Weiternutzung des Hauses sprechen angeblich zu hohe
Sanierungs- und Nebenkosten. Einen baufälligen Eindruck macht das Gebäude
aber nicht.
Die BesetzerInnen wollen mit der Aktion auf die momentane Situation in
Potsdam aufmerksam machen. Mehrere Haus- und Kulturprojekte stehen immer
noch in Verhandlung um eine langfristige Nutzung, verschiedene
soziokulturelle Zentren droht die komplette Schliessung oder wurden
bereits geschlossen, eine vielfältige emanzipatorische (Jugend-)Kultur
ist nicht gewollt und wird weiter aus dem Stadtbild verdrängt. Dafür
soll das ehemalige Stadtschloss und die Garnisonkirche wieder erbaut
werden. Privatisierungen und Sanierungen haben in Potsdam mittlerweile zu
einer völligen Umstrukturierung geführt mit dem Ergebnis eines
pastellfarbenen "Preussen-Disney" und überteuerten Mieten.
Darauf haben viele Menschen in Potsdam aber weiter keinen Bock!
Wir nehmen uns, was wir brauchen! Unter diesem Motto wird´s es also die nächsten
Tage weiter gehen. Kommt vorbei und unterstützt die Leute im Haus.

Reclaim your city! Häuser besetzen sowieso!!
Das Haus befindet sich völlig im Grünen direkt an der Havel am Fuss der
Humboltbrücke auf der Seite vom Stadtteil Babelsberg am Rand vom Park
Babelsberg. Bei Bedarf kann dort auch übernachtet werden.

Squatted house in Potsdam!

On friday, the 26.09 people squatted a house again. For now over 24 hours
the ex- Villa Wildwuchs is fillded up again with life and culture. The house
was a youthhouse with streetworkers before the squatting. In the beginning
of the year the youthhouse moved their office to another place. Now the
building will be torn down and the ground will be owned by the foundation
"Preussische Schlösser und Gärten", because it´s right near to
the Park Babelsberg. To be said against a further use are too high
renovation- and additional costs, so the city.
But the building doesn´t seem out-of-repair at all.
With this action the Squatters want to point at the current situation in
Potsdam. Several House- and Cultureprojects are still in negotiation for a
long-term Use, different social-cultural centres are going to be closed or
already closed. A multifaceted, emancipatory (youth-)culture is not accepted
and tried to keep it away from the inner city. For that, the ancient
citycastle and the Garnisonchurch is going to be rebuilt. In the meantime
Privatisation and Renovations have lead to a total gentrification in
Potsdam, with the effect of pastel-colored "Preussen-disney" and
overprice rents.
But a lot of people in Potsdam are still not up for that!
We take what we need! And we will continue the next
days with that device. So pass by and support the people in the house.

The house is right next to the river "Havel" next to Humboldbridge
on the side of the citypart babelsberg.On the brink of Park Babelsberg.
